Converted oast house

The owners of this oast house on the outskirts of Sandhurst, and which had been converted to a home some years previously, wanted to extend the accommodation. Planning permission was obtained for a two-storey side extension that provided an en-suite to the master bedroom, plus a guest bedroom and en-suite. A further addition to the property formed a new kitchen with a glazed conservatory

Originally, the owners wrote to the planners because they wanted a single storey conservatory, and the planners stated that it would not be possible to extend the property at all. We were therefore pleased when we were able to obtain permission for the additional space they wanted.

One of the nice features of the Oast is a special wine cellar which is set into the ground, with the circular shape echoing the circular walls of the roundel.
