About QuickTime
VR
The SU2POV plugin is ideal for making
full impressive QuickTime VR 360° panoramas, viewable at full
screen (1920 x 1200) at high frame rates (typically 150 to 350 fps
range!) with PangeaVR.
Essentially, you need an Equirectangular image of ratio 2:1, say
7000 x 3500 pixels.
About Exporting from SketchUp to QuickTime
VR
The first step is to create a suitable model, such as a
room, or a campus. Alternately you can have a building with detailed
context. Remember, if you create a room in sketchup by drawing
a box, then deleting (or hiding) one wall, and painting inside,
that your surfaces will be inside out. Also remember to light the
room as you cannot rely on the sun for internal models.
Secondly, set your camera position using the Set Camera Position
Tool. It
doesn't matter where you are looking, as you will be looking
everywhere (SU2POV Mac 2.2.4 automatically makes the camera horizontal
when you chose the Spherical Camera - Thanks to John
Wehby).
In SketchUp choose Plugins -> POV-Ray converter -> Set/Edit
Camera Parameters
For Use Special Camera: Choose Spherical
 In SketchUp choose Plugins -> POV-Ray converter -> Export
model to POV-Ray, save your file.
[You may want to try some quick test renders at a small size,
until you have all the lighting working OK, before you commit
to a high-resolution render].
Choose your size 7000 x 3500 in MegaPov Mach-O and render the
file. The file will be a distorted 360° view such as this low
resolution example below:

When you are satisfied, save the file as say: sketchup.pict

Of course, if you can afford it, you are best buying CubicConverter.
Open MakeCubic and
choose: File -> Convert… Open sketchup.pict
Choose OK and save the file as sketchup.qtvr Writing the code to display your QTVR
